**Shengtai Company Expands Operations and Talent Recruitment Amid Growth**
February 18th – Since the start of the new year, Shen Ping, deputy manager of the administrative department at Shengtai Company, has been kept extremely busy. As the company gradually relocates its production equipment from Ningbo to Ganzhou, the expansion of its manufacturing facilities has led to a growing demand for frontline workers in areas such as yarn dyeing, cutting, and packaging.
According to Shen Ping, with the first-phase project expansion already underway and preparations for the second phase in progress, the company is currently facing a shortage of skilled labor. Starting from the first month of the sixth lunar month, Shengtai began organizing recruitment efforts locally in Ganzhou. To date, over 200 job seekers have shown interest, and the company plans to continue recruiting outside the city starting in March.
In addition to active hiring, the company has also taken steps to build long-term talent pipelines. At the end of last year, Shengtai established a school-enterprise cooperation program with the City Vocational Education Center, setting up a practical training base. The factory provides the necessary equipment for student training, while the school offers venues and instructors. Currently, more than 50 trainees are participating in the program. Shen Ping added that experienced staff from the workshop are also involved in training, aiming to develop a pool of skilled workers to meet future needs.
The company has already reached an agreement with the school and plans to further expand the scale of this collaboration this year, ensuring sufficient talent reserves before the next phase of production begins.
The recent efforts to “recruit and prepare†ahead of the Spring Festival reflect Shengtai’s strong commitment to continued growth in 2024. As a key enterprise under the Youngor Group, Shengzhou Shengtai Company (including Shengtai Yarn and Shengtai Knitting) is one of China’s leading high-end cotton textile manufacturers. It has built long-term partnerships with renowned global brands such as POLO, CK, and Lacoste.
Since its establishment three years ago, Shengtai has consistently delivered strong performance. In 2009, sales revenue increased by 450 million yuan, and by last year, it exceeded one billion yuan in sales, with export earnings reaching 20 million U.S. dollars. The company expects to reach 1.2 billion yuan in sales revenue in the near future.
To ensure stable supply of raw materials, Shengtai invested RMB 600 million in Awati County, Xinjiang, building a 300,000-spindle spinning project on top of its existing 250,000 spindles in Kashgar. This move ensures a steady and high-quality supply chain.
In June of last year, Youngor New Industry Technology Park officially signed a contract. Based on the group’s development strategy and current investment plans, Shengtai will invest 2.5 billion yuan over the next 3–5 years to build a 500-acre industrial park. The project aims to produce 100 million meters of dyed yarn fabric annually, 12,000 tons of knitted fabric, and 20 million pieces of finished garments. Once completed, the facility is expected to generate a total output value of 3 billion yuan, 200 million yuan in profit, and 120 million yuan in taxes. This ambitious plan positions Shengtai as a leader in the global textile industry.
