By May 2002, Monsoon officially launched its operations in China, setting the stage for future growth. In December 2002, Bright Orient (Holding) Ltd. established Shenzhen Xingtai Jifeng Fashion Co., Ltd. as a holding company, which became responsible for the comprehensive design, production, and promotion of the Monsoon brand in China.
Today, Monsoon has expanded across more than 200 cities and operates nearly 500 specialty stores throughout the country. The company remains focused on global fashion trends while maintaining a strong foothold in the Chinese market. In April 2004, it expanded its portfolio by introducing luxury women’s clothing brands in China, further strengthening its position in the premium segment.
In May 2004, the China Design Team was re-established with senior international designers at the helm, ensuring that the brand continues to evolve with modern aesthetics and consumer demands. By February 2005, the luxury brand had officially entered the Chinese market, reinforcing Monsoon’s reputation for quality and style.
