LABELHOOD 2019 full lineup of autumn and winter is officially announced! This season's theme is "new" and will once again present a different avant-garde fashion festival.

WHEN

LABELHOOD is a platform for Shanghai Fashion Week to be positioned and displayed on the pioneering fashion art. From March 28th to March 31st, four days from morning to night, there are highlights and surprises every day.

WHERE

Each season, LABELHOOD is committed to discovering the latest and most interesting wonderland in Shanghai. I once brought everyone to the Shanghai Museum of Contemporary Art, the British warehouse Yanqingli, built in 1929, and the Lafayette Art Design Center... This time, LABELHOOD will bring everyone to Tank Shanghai, the Shanghai Tank Art Center.

The tank center has become one of the most popular punching spots in Shanghai.

WHAT

This year, the theme of LABELHOOD is: THINK TANK | born for "new"

TANK, symbolizing the venue TANK Shanghai; THINK TANK, also represents the most important Chinese “new thinker” fashion “think tank” for LABELHOOD.

As China's first avant-garde fashion art festival for the public, LABELHOOD has always regarded “new” as the most important point. Over the years, we have been committed to bringing more new designers to LABELHOOD and using more new ways to evoke public attention to China's pioneering fashion design.

During the growth of LABELHOOD, I received too much support and help. This time together with the think tank, we finally got the LABELHOOD. This time in the latest season of LABELHOOD, I also want to let everyone know more about the "THINK TANK" behind it.

As the creative director of LABELHOOD this season, Mr. Liang Jiajun contributed visual themes with L&L studio inspired by the cartoon Akira.

Akira is a sci-fi animated masterpiece 30 years ago. It's very coincidental and has many similarities to this year's LABELHOOD.

This cartoon is an imaginary look of Tokyo in 30 years. Thirty years later, it is now 2019. In the cartoon, the protagonist's motorcycle, jacket, and a red letter on the floor in the animation are very memorable. The red color is also the main color used by LABELHOOD for a long time. The mysterious power represented by Akira explores the interaction between humans' absorption and counter-attack, and the same can be seen in today's Chinese fashion.

The similarities between LABELHOOD and Akira are not limited to this. The place where it happened was the oil tank, the power of the young people, the explosion and the explosion of creativity... Liang Jiajun said: "In my opinion, the arrival of this creative idea is so logical. It is God."

Compared to the past, this season's LABELHOOD schedule is also full of new ideas:

Five of the 19 designer brands selected by the professional review committee were debuted.

#DESIGN4U-China Bloggers

This is the opening of LABELHOOD this season, and it is also a special opening performance before. More than 20 Chinese fashion bloggers will be invited to unite with China's best design forces to conceptualize the designer's work this season.

In recent years, fashion bloggers have become a topic that the Chinese fashion industry cannot ignore. Their wear, their "capacity", and what they produce online have undoubtedly affected a generation of young consumers. This season, they are invited to join the forefront of Chinese original design, through which they will present this show in a variety of creative ways.

Designer Huang Shasha

Designer Huang Shasha's undergraduate and postgraduate work has been selected twice in the 2014 and 2017 Italian Vogue Vogue Talents (a platform dedicated to exploring new creative talent).

In October 2017, Huang Shasha participated in the LABELHOOD Art Festival for the first time. Originally obsessed with fabric touch and clothing details, she only wanted to be a knitting studio. In the exhibition of LABELHOOD, after the encouragement of the industry and the audience, she chose to show her personal brand swaying the first series in the next season.

Designer Susan Fang

“This LABELHOOD series is called air-painting, such as the untouchable picture and the past, the illusion of reality and the blur of reality, which will show the 'air-painting' generated by the passage of time on the set.”

“The first season of our brand started at LABELHOOD present, and every LH presentation is one of my artistic expressions that express the attitude of the whole. The music, makeup, set, and the whole styling of the model are all hand-finished by the team. And design, each part is full of heart to represent the world view of SUSAN FANG."

Designer SUSAN FANG worked at Céline and Stella McCartney. She pioneered the “air weave” method, which allowed the fabric to flow between the 2D and 3D fields, thus giving birth to the famous “Beaded Bag” series, which she first made in 2018. The LABELHOOD release series, and LABELHOOD is also the first buyer to purchase the series.

SUSAN FANG continued to explore this technology in the 2019 Fall/Winter collection to develop more productions and became one of the two Chinese designers who were selected for the LVMH PRIZE (LVMH Young Designer Award) in 2019. What she hopes is not to use fashion as an aesthetic guide, to transcend the design field, and to express artistic fantasy freely.

Designer Yang Yang

In 2016, THELAWN released its first collection of brands in LABELHOOD in April of the same year.

THELAWN is not a noisy brand, it is quiet and low-key. I worked at Uniqlo's Tokyo headquarters for nearly two years. Designer Yang Yang cares more about the rationality of the design. She wants to make clothes that give people a comfortable body, and advocates functionality and comfort, instead of stacking popular elements. Stick the trend concept.

Designer Victor X Wang

For designer Victor X Wang, the road of fashion design not only means love, but also struggle and effort. After graduating from Imperial College London, he went to the Royal Academy of Art in Antwerp for further study. This year he graduated from a school with a 70% elimination rate and became an alumnus with Antwerp Six Gentlemen such as Dries Van Noten.

In the summer of 2018, he founded VIIIII, a designer brand that stands for fearless self-confidence and constant self-satisfaction, advocating diversity and inclusiveness, and encouraging the exploration of beauty in conflict and opposition.

Designer Wilson Choi* first released

“This time we are very happy to bring the REDEMPTIVE 2019 Fall/Winter collection to Shanghai LABELHOOD. The latest AW19 series was inspired by the British photographer Martin Usborne's documentary work “I've Lived in East London for 86 1⁄2 Years” to explore the corners of society. Designer Yang Guidong

It is no exaggeration to say that designer Yang Guidong and his brand SAMUEL GUÌ YANG are reshaping the beauty of the East, a kind of oriental aesthetics with advanced, transparent and prudent.

His first release was held at LABELHOOD, and the annual new release was held at LABELHOOD. With this high-end oriental beauty, SAMUEL GUÌ YANG has been featured on various magazine covers such as Duel wallpaper* and T MAGAZINE, and is worn by celebrities including Du Fu, Liu Wen, Hui Yinghong and Yu Feihong.

Designer Mai Yiting* first show

This is the first time ANAÏS JOURDEN has participated in the LABELHOOD release. The clothing brand ANAÏS JOURDEN, which was founded in 2012 by designer Anaïs Mak, was recognized by the market and was not only selected in the LVMH PRIZE semi-final set up by LVMH Group in 2015, but also by such as Lane Crawford and Colette. Designer Ying Ying Yingpei

Designer Yajun Lin* first released

“This is a great honor to be the first domestic release in LABELHOOD. We have been in fashion for four fashion weeks in New York, but we have never released any events in the country. I feel that LABELHOOD is a particularly successful platform to support designers. Let everyone find a sense of group and belonging, and also make new designers have new goals."

“The theme of YAJUN STUDIO 2019 is the physical philosophy, which mainly focuses on the whole series of time, container, and comfort. Designer Caroline Hu* first released
