Legendary watch: 50 to find the watch

The Fifty Hunting Watch, designed and produced to the requirements of French Navy officers, was initially used for military purposes and must therefore meet a variety of ambitious technical specifications. This is first and foremost reflected in its name: the water resistance of the watch must reach 50, or 91.50 meters. This watch is considered the first modern diving watch, its one-way rotatable bezel on its perfectly legible dial has become a standard feature in this category. Over the next three decades, 50 models have appeared in more than 20 models, the output from hundreds to thousands. Most of them are equipped with the AS movement of Anton Schild in Göttingen, Switzerland. Fifty quests have been adopted by the military in many countries, and their functions and designs have also been commended by civil divers. The watch has long since embraced the moment, with Jacques Cousteau and his crew wearing the watch while filming the Golden Palm in the 1956 Cannes Film Awards, "The Silence of the World." In 2003, to celebrate its 50th anniversary, Burberry introduced in Thailand a commemorative limited edition of this legendary watch.
