In line with this, the gift industry chain has gradually begun to subdivide, resulting in the entire industry chain of manufacturers, distributors, terminal service providers, purchasers, recipients, and gift recyclers.

How much money does the Chinese spend on gifts each year? There is no authoritative statistical data because it is a multi-industry, complicated and relatively hidden market.

Zhang Xiaopeng’s China Gift Industry Research Institute, using the National Bureau of Statistics, the Ministry of Commerce, and industry data, has carried out individual and group classification statistics calculations for the gift industry. The data obtained is that the annual gift demand for individuals is 505.5 billion yuan. The annual gift demand was 262.9 billion yuan, adding that the total annual domestic gift market demand was about 768.4 billion yuan.
